At the same time in the US, in a crucial period where it is on the brink to cast its vote on a new American president, former vice-president Al Gore challenges America to shift to 100% renewables-based energy within 10 years, to get rid of its oil dependency, to avoid fatal consequences of climate change and to tackle the soaring oil prices at the same time.
